A happy New Year from b-to-v to the entire Venture Community! How will this 2008 be? Nobody knows! No one out there with the real crystal ball. But: there is a rough breeze blowing through the capital markets and we’re sure that this will be no laughing matter. Now, some might argue that the Venture Capital Industry is not directly correlating with the stock markets. However, the food chain of investments ultimately starts with seed stage financing, and IPO perspectives do have an impact on the appetite of VCs regarding follow-on investments – or to wrap it up: corporates may simply have more cash left for acquisitions in favourable conditions of financial markets.
Therefore, we will all have to be even more careful this year. Nevertheless, there are great opportunities for Angel Investors: watch this and listen to what other Business Angels think about the future investments.
In any case b-to-v will keep focusing on its stakeholders and maximise the efforts for the extra mile. We wish all of you all the best for these exciting Year 2008!
