Nach den Kursstürzen der vergangenen Tage an den Börsen, dem drastischen Einschreiten der amerikanischen Notenbank und den widersprüchlichen Aussagen der Analysten herrscht Ratlosigkeit und große Unruhe unter den Anlegern. sharewise (www.sharewise.com), das erste Finanzportal für Anlegerschutz 2.0, hilft Anlegern kostenlos dabei, die richtigen Entscheidungen für das eigene Portfolio zu treffen: Rund 17.000 Aktienempfehlungen der User und institutioneller Analysten sind seit dem Start von sharewise im August 2007 auf dem Finanzportal eingestellt worden. In der Summe lagen die Einschätzungen der Anleger und Mitglieder von sharewise deutlich über den Performance-Ergebnissen professioneller Analysten.

Die Top User von sharewise, die anhand des sharewise-Prinzips ermittelt werden, haben in den vergangenen 14 Tagen mit ihren Voraussagen die DAX-Entwicklung im Durchschnitt in rund 60 Prozent der Fälle übertroffen, während die Voraussagen der professionellen Analysten nur in 45 Prozent der Fälle die DAX-Entwicklung übertrafen.
Vergleicht man die durchschnittliche Performance aller sharewise Mitglieder mit der der Analysten, schneidet wiederum die Community besser ab: Die sharewise Mitglieder waren in 53 Prozent der Fälle besser als der Index, und liegen damit rund 8 Prozentpunkte über dem Durchschnittswert der Analysten.

“Gerade in unruhigen Börsenzeiten wie jetzt zeigt sich also, wie wertvoll das sharewise-Prinzip für jeden Anleger ist”, sagt Nicolas Plögert, Geschäftsführer und Mitgründer von sharewise.

Logo_InnovatorsPitch Der Innovators’ Pitch bietet innovativen Unternehmen, Start-Ups, Uni- oder Forschungsprojekten aus den Bereichen Mobile Content und Digital Life die Chance, ihre Geschäftsideen oder Projekt auf der CeBIT 2008 im Rahmen eines Wettbewerbs vor Jury und Publikum zu präsentieren. Bereits zum dritten Mal veranstaltet der BITKOM den Innovators’ Pitch auf der CeBIT 2008. In diesem Jahr wird der Wettbewerb erstmalig für zwei verschiedene Teilnehmergruppen durchgeführt:

Freitag, 07.03.2008 - Innovators’ Pitch Business (Junge Unternehmer, Gründer und Start-Ups)

Samstag, 08.03.2008 - Innovators’ Pitch Academic (Uni- und Hochschulprojekte, Institutionen für Forschung & Entwicklung)

A happy New Year from b-to-v to the entire Venture Community! How will this 2008 be? Nobody knows! No one out there with the real crystal ball. But: there is a rough breeze blowing through the capital markets and we’re sure that this will be no laughing matter. Now, some might argue that the Venture Capital Industry is not directly correlating with the stock markets. However, the food chain of investments ultimately starts with seed stage financing, and IPO perspectives do have an impact on the appetite of VCs regarding follow-on investments - or to wrap it up: corporates may simply have more cash left for acquisitions in favourable conditions of financial markets.
Therefore, we will all have to be even more careful this year. Nevertheless, there are great opportunities for Angel Investors: watch this and listen to what other Business Angels think about the future investments.

In any case b-to-v will keep focusing on its stakeholders and maximise the efforts for the extra mile. We wish all of you all the best for these exciting Year 2008!

Welcome to the new b-to-v blog. This is our first post from inside b-to-v.

For everyone who doesn’t know who we are and what we do you can find a brief description about b-to-v below:

Through BrainsToVentures (b-to-v) an extensive network of committed entrepreneurial private investors with backgrounds from various sectors invest in growth companies with promising and scalable business models. The «vibrant network of investment intelligence» finances first-class ventures with excellent management teams and offers them access to experienced investors from the respective sector.

With the intensive cooperation between investors and ventures b-to-v has become one of the leading private investor networks in German-speaking Europe since the year 2000, whose activities regularly exceed this region – today reaching into the USA and Asia.

This being said, we would like to explain what we intend to do with our new form of communication. As b-to-v stands at the point of contact between entrepreneurs and investors (who are mostly serial entrepreneurs themselves) we wish for this blog to become a collection of insights & outlooks by all b-to-v stakeholders. We will start discussions, ask for opinions, show impressions from b-to-v events and much more. Please feel free to participate, leave comments or send in your own ideas.
